Job Summary
Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance operations in an industrial wastewater environment. Oversees inspection, repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and systems; plans and schedules maintenance activities; leads fabrication and installation of equipment per plans and specs; performs quality control and diagnostics on process control systems; manages budgets, procurement, inventory, and coordination with warehousing; supervises and develops staff, conducts training, enforces safety protocols, and ensures compliance with safety standards. Uses CMMS and Microsoft Office applications to track work orders, reports, and performance metrics. Coordinates with internal units, external agencies, and contractors to optimize resources and minimize service disruptions; prepares cost estimates and documentation for maintenance and capital projects; maintains thorough records and reports on maintenance activities and equipment history; ensures proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials; adheres to safety and regulatory requirements; emphasizes safety, teamwork, reliability, and operational excellence in a wastewater facility setting.
Required Qualifications
- Eight years of journey-level experience in water and wastewater industry including two years of lead or supervisory experience
- Valid driver license (AZ) at time of appointment
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and post-offer physical/drug screen
- Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio)
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance activities; knowledge of safety standards and hazardous materials handling
