Job Summary
Operate wastewater treatment plant machinery via supervisory control systems, regulate valves, and add chemicals per prescribed standards. Collect and analyze periodic samples, maintain records, and perform equipment cleanup and daily housekeeping duties. Assist certified operators in all water treatment plant operations under supervision while participating in hands-on training. Requires a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator "C" or higher license, one year of full performance experience, valid driver's license, and completion of background checks and drug tests. Schedule includes M-F 3 pm to 11 pm shifts, with a contract term up to six months.
Required Qualifications
- Background check and drug test required
- High school diploma or GED
- Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator "C" or higher
- Minimum of one year of experience at the full performance level in a Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Valid driver's license
