Job Summary
Operate the wastewater treatment facility, oversee equipment repairs, and maintain compliance with the Pretreatment Industrial User Permit. Conduct regular facility tours, interpret SCADA data, and perform field sampling and laboratory analysis to control processes. Manage minor maintenance, housekeeping, and team supervision while enforcing safety protocols and OSHA guidelines. Direct personnel through hiring, training, and performance reviews to ensure high-quality output and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Class III Waste Water Operator License/Certification
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of physical, chemical, and biological wastewater treatment
- Operational knowledge of the machines, equipment, and unit operations used in treatment of wastewater and anaerobic digestion and dewatering of associated sludges
- Knowledge of and ability to apply sampling and preservation techniques
- Knowledge of the interpretation of laboratory data and its application to process control
- Operational knowledge of hydraulics
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the occupational hazards or safety precautions relating to the safe handling of extremely hazardous chemicals and the safe operation of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to prevent and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Some Travel Required 10%
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Earplug

- Slip resistant close toed footwear
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
