Job Summary
Control water flows and manage biological systems through plant equipment, ensuring proper operation of the evaporator, skimmer, DAF, aerators, mixers, disinfection systems, scrubbers, and cooling towers. Perform wastewater tests as needed, manage chemical inventory and addition to sustain processes for at least 24 hours, and maintain daily clean foot valves and flow meters at pump stations. Service and lube pumps and gearboxes, assist maintenance with projects, and dump grease solids using a forklift. Work four 12-hour shifts per week (Sunday through Saturday) in an environment with strong odors and exposure to heat, cold, and biohazardous conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be Waste Water certified OR have 3 years Waste Water experience
- Minimum 1-year prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment
- Willing to obtain wastewater certificate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location
- Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder
- Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions
- Must be able to position one's self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in the server closet
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery
- Must be able to detect hazardous conditions
- Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients
- Must be able to identify and distinguish colors
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Must be able to climb or balance

- Must be able to work in an environment exposed to Electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock
- Must be able to handle or work with potentially dangerous equipment
- Must be able to travel to offsite locations
- Must be able to work in an environment with up to 10 pounds of weight and force
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 AM-6:00 PM)
- Must be available Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Saturday
