Waste Water Operator- (1st Shift)

Operate and maintain the waste water treatment facility for neutralization, metal precipitation, and complexed metals removal. Conduct daily grab sample testing for zinc, imhoff tests, and turbidity meter readings while collecting pH and ORP data. Adjust chemical levels to ensure compliance with EPA and city standards, troubleshoot system imbalances, and perform routine maintenance on pumps, motors, and plumbing. Manage sludge collection, filter press cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal while maintaining a safe work environment. Order chemicals and supplies as needed.
