Job Summary
Waste Technician responsible for collecting, salvaging, and sorting reusable or recycle materials or waste materials; maintain dock and collection areas; work in a team; perform repetitive tasks; ensure safety and cleanliness; maintain logs and schedules; follow company procedures; communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers; operate with proper PPE; support environmental reporting and customer service needs; shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with possible overtime; compensation includes $19-$20 per hour; SBM Management Services, LP and affiliates are equal opportunity workplaces.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experience - preferred
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license may be required
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to have Forklift certification
- May be required to have Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA
