Job Summary
Waste Specialist at Momentum Environmental Solutions, LLC coordinates technical waste processing and environmental services, works with leadership, field teams, and customers to ensure work is performed safely, on time, and within budget with high quality. Responsible for technical components of waste services profiling and characterization, pricing, third-party coordination, environmental sampling, and professional reporting; supports sales through proposal development and pre-approval activities; performs estimating, financial analysis, and progress tracking; ensures regulatory compliance (EPA, DOT, OSHA) and proper waste profile approvals, and provides clear guidance to Momentum staff and customers on requirements for profiles and facility/10-day location approvals. Requires collaboration across departments, strong analytical and communication skills, and adherence to H&S and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in the environmental service industry
- General knowledge of compliance of State and Regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- General knowledge of DOT regulations
- General knowledge of all available waste treatment, ER, industrial cleaning and remediation technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to interact effectively with management, other departments, and vendors
- Ability to inspire and build strong teams
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements as needed
- Ability to travel to customer sites and field environments as required
