Job Summary
Collect refuse by hand and load it into a heavy-duty sanitation vehicle from customer locations. Transfer waste from stops to the truck, assist drivers with maneuvering, and maintain daily vehicle clean-up. Learn garbage routes to better support the driver while attending all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly safety meetings. Physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the shift, lifting, pushing, and pulling waste bags weighing 50-75+ lbs. Work Monday through Friday with early starts at 1:00am or 3:00am, year-round steady hours.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must meet physical standards as specified above
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Helpers must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the duration of the work day
- Helpers must be able to constantly lift, push, and pull waste bags and receptacles that weigh approximately 50-75+ lbs
- Helpers must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
