Job Summary
Inspect incoming waste materials, carry out routine sampling, and check moisture content to identify contamination or non-conforming items. Record sampling results accurately using site systems and support quality investigations where required. Maintain accurate records, complete basic administrative tasks, and provide occasional weighbridge cover. Work closely with the Operations team to support smooth site running while following all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. This practical, hands-on role involves working outdoors around waste vehicles and material stockpiles in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to accurately record information
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and dependability
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfort working in a busy waste management environment
- Ability to undertake manual handling as part of the role
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience within waste management, recycling or quality inspection
