Waste Processing Supervisor

Oversee retail and consolidation operations of all wastes received, including hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal wastes and off-spec materials, ensuring orders are safely and accurately processed on time and in compliance with procedures and regulations. Hire, train, and manage departmental staff to maintain a cohesive, motivated team. Responsibilities include maintaining operational documentation, supervising segregation/packaging/processing of wastes, coordinating with shipping/receiving and other sites, monitoring order status, managing purchasing and invoicing for services, ensuring permit compliance, and driving continuous improvement. Train technicians on equipment operation and paperwork; enforce Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis procedures; supervise forklift and other equipment; maintain records for DOT and State officials; participate in emergency response procedures; perform related tasks as assigned. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or environmental field, 40-hour HAZWOPER, supervisory experience, hazardous waste handling knowledge, forklift operation ability, and strong communication skills.
