Job Summary
Operate and control incinerators on board the Orient Express Corinthian, ensuring proper preparation of waste for processing into incinerators, compactor, pulper or cold store. Follow Company policies and safety procedures; participate in crew safety drills; maintain high standards of Health and Safety for self and others; assist with general maintenance (cleaning, painting, repairs) and keep logs and documentation up to date. Requires STCW 95 certification and applicable regulatory certifications, plus English fluency and physical fitness to perform duties in tight quarters and variable shifts. Contract duration is 3 months +/- 1. On site at London shipboard location with responsibilities in the incinerator room and related waste-disposal operations. Reports to Staff Engineer, Hotel Engineer, and on-duty Engineer; adherence to safety, pollution prevention, and MLC/vehicle standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid STCW 95 certification
- Appropriate certification as required by regulations
- Experience on vessels in an equivalent position
- Physically and medically fit
- Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical)
