Waste Management Technician

Job Summary
Identify and separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to regulatory guidelines; collect waste from designated areas including production zones, tanks, and confined spaces; safely transport waste to approved disposal or treatment facilities; operate vacuum trucks, drum lifters, and other waste handling equipment; maintain accurate records of waste types, volumes, and disposal methods; ensure labeling, packaging, and manifesting of waste materials meet EPA and DOT standards; follow HAZWOPER, OSHA, and company-specific safety procedures; respond to spills and leaks using proper containment and cleanup methods; participate in safety meetings and training sessions; coordinate with cleaning crews and supervisors to align waste removal with cleaning schedules; equipment maintenance and reporting, including inspection and minor repairs; travel to Miller sites as needed and work in various conditions, including elevated places and confined spaces; 12-hour shifts with potential overtime and weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical training in industrial cleaning preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial cleaning or waste management
