Job Summary
Provide instructional services to educate students with mild mental disabilities, aligning with district, state, and federal requirements. Deliver lessons covering appropriate grades while applying effective practices in lesson plan development and classroom instruction. Maintain a standard school year schedule, with elementary hours from 7:45am to 3:45pm and middle/high school hours from 7:10am to 3:10pm. Hold a valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels or subject areas, including the Early Literacy Endorsement if teaching retained grade 3 students.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR be eligible to obtain an alternative teaching credential
- REPA/REPA 3 Licensure Options: Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention covering appropriate grades
- Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement (required for teachers who teach retained grade 3 students)
- Knowledge of effective practices, including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction
