Wash-Pack Specialist

Job Summary
Wash and trim produce such as lettuce and carrots, then sort, grade, and cool farm harvests for market. Operate commercial equipment including scales and packaging machinery to weigh produce and manage container weights. Harvest and final wash-pack flat-grown microgreens while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. Keep work areas, tools, and logs clean and accurate. Move quickly to support high-quality output and manage others in the pursuit. Work 42.5 hours weekly from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with flexibility and seasonal changes. Lift up to 70 pounds occasionally. Join our new, grant-funded wash house with superior equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Able to properly and safely operate commercial equipment including scales and packaging machinery
- Must be 18 and trained in order to use certain equipment
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce high quality output while working within deadlines
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 to 70 pounds occasionally
- Understanding of food safety rules
- Ability to keep accurate daily records in our logs
- Learn appropriate food safety and sanitation rules, and apply them
