WASH Officer

Job Summary
The WASH Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing hygiene promotion activities in the MC Aba’ala Office, coordinating with health extension workers and local communities in the Erebti and Megale Woredas. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments for hygiene needs, training volunteers, developing implementation plans, and ensuring the delivery of hygiene promotion activities within budget and timeline. The role requires strong project management skills, experience in WASH projects, and a commitment to accountability and community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- BSc degree in Environmental health, public health, Hydraulic and/or Water Resources Engineering or related field
- 5 years of experience in WASH projects with a focus on hygiene promotion activities
- Proficiency in Afarigna language
- Experience working in coordination with Health Extension Workers and community volunteers

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
