Job Summary
Wash and disinfect turkey production facilities in a safe, organized manner; assist all support areas of breeder production; perform repairs and maintenance on equipment; construction on projects as assigned; follow sanitation and isolation procedures using tracking patterns; adhere to safety policies; communicate with supervisor to receive work orders; assist on vaccinations and insemination occasionally when not washing; work occasional weekends unless instructed otherwise.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous animal husbandry experience and/or farm background (two years)
- Bobcat tractor experience
- Able to use and operate high pressure washer
- Small engine/pump repair experience
- Able to operate a scissor lift
- Must be 18 years or older to work in plant
- Must possess a valid driver’s license & meet JOTS driving qualifications
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Supply reliable transportation for travel to work sites
- Cannot own or raise any type of fowl
- Able to work in a smoke-free environment; must be 21 and able to obtain Medical Card
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- No employer sponsorship required for work visa
- Must be able to pass safety and sanitation protocols
- Able to read/write at 4th grade level
- Basic math skills
