Job Summary
Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, and hoists to process soiled textiles through washing and drying stages. Monitor cycles, input data into automated systems, and maintain efficient flow by transporting materials to the next production phase. Identify equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to report to supervision while ensuring adherence to safety procedures and proper PPE use. Perform physical tasks throughout the shift including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and handling textiles in a production environment with temperature variations, humidity, and odors. Support production flow within the industrial laundry facility serving customers such as restaurants, hotels, and medical facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to push and pull carts or bins
- Must be able to grasp and handle textiles
- Must be able to stoop or bend
- Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift
- Must be able to work in environments with temperature variations
- Must be able to work in environments with humidity
- Must be able to work in environments with odors
- Must be able to work in environments with lint
- Must be able to work in environments with dust
- Must be able to load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment
- Must be able to monitor washing and drying cycles
- Must be able to input required data into automated washing systems
- Must be able to maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle
- Must be able to transport materials to the next stage of production
- Must be able to identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision
- Must be able to ensure adherence to safety procedures
- Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to support production flow
- Must be able to work as part of a team in a production environment
- Must be able to perform different tasks within the team based on daily operational needs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
