Job Summary
Warranty Technician performs warranty work for HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles/registers/diffusers, controls, and related equipment. Identify and solve problems that might impede completion of work, follow defined installation procedures, complete repairs per company standards, maintain clean work areas, ensure customer satisfaction and sign-off, complete required paperwork, track materials and hours, collect payments as needed, return unused materials, keep vehicle stocked, and identify opportunities for quality and cost improvements. Requires EPA/R22/R410A/R454B/R32 certifications, valid driver's license, ability to troubleshoot and install HVAC/R equipment, brazing/soldering/welding, lifting up to 100 pounds, two+ years of HVAC/R experience, and pre-employment drug, physical, and background checks; NATE certification preferred or willingness to attain. Office located in Irving, TX; standard 40 hours/week with some overtime; benefits include ESOP, PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), continuing education, and equal employment opportunity statement.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience as an HVAC/R installation, maintenance, or service technician
- EPA certification for R22, R410A, R454B and R32
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
- Ability to follow/troubleshooting and installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment
- Ability to follow controls/wiring schematic
- Ability to braze/solder/weld
- Ability to perform minor field fabrication
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- NATE certification preferred or willingness to work to attain NATE certification
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical test, and criminal background check
- Brazing, soldering, and welding experience
- Knowledge of sheet metal handling
- Attention to safety and neat appearance
