Warranty Specialist

Job Summary
Maintain warranty department records, file claims, and post payments while conducting regular meetings with component suppliers to review product performance and reimbursement. Keep abreast of campaigns, factory recalls, and service bulletins, then educate personnel and ensure proper shipping/receiving of all warranty parts. Document all paperwork correctly, process verifying criteria for factories/distributors, and assist with recall and campaign tracking. Provide administrative support by typing correspondence, filing, and distributing documents, while reporting and analyzing warranty information to support corporate objectives. Create appropriate reports, utilize dashboard data, and contribute to department action plans. Maintain professional knowledge through training and ensure company confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc.
- Prefer 2 years' experience in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Warranty program
