Job Summary
Conduct simulation, experimentation, and training using Anduril's Lattice Mission Simulation to develop scenarios based on customer needs. Support engineering and product teams by evaluating platform, payload, autonomy, and sensor choices to assess how they affect mission outcomes. Design and execute tactical and mission-level wargames to refine autonomous system capabilities and red/blue force tactics. Develop physics-based models for friendly and adversary systems while assessing system-of-systems interactions and integration risks. Ensure all analysis remains grounded in real operational problems and collaborate with business development teams to demonstrate capabilities through rigorous, data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
- Currently possess and be able to maintain an active country specific Secret security clearance
- 3+ years of experience in Operations Research, Systems Analysis (ORSA), systems engineering, mission engineering, test and evaluation, or a related technical-operational discipline
- Experience with tactical experiments and wargaming design, including scenario development, data analytics, and trade-space analysis
- Demonstrated experience in modeling and simulation for military missions
- Proficiency with C++ or Python for physics-based modeling and scripting
- Ability to connect system performance, architecture, and design choices to mission outcomes
- Ability to assess and solve problems, and to effectively communicate results through strong verbal and written skills
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for a background in friendly and adversary tactics
- Experience with DoD M&S tools (e.g., AFSIM, Brawler, Suppressor, ESAMS, Command PE)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a country specific Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Operational military background with a subsequent transition into an ORSA, M&S, or Operations Analyst position
- Experience with AFSIM plug-in development or other advanced M&S framework customization
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, digital engineering, operational test, or experimentation
- Experience developing KPPs, KSAs, MOEs, MOPs, requirements, test objectives, or system performance assessments
- Experience with defense systems, autonomous systems, maritime systems, undersea systems, sensors, effectors, communications, navigation, C2, or ISR mission systems
