Job Summary
Warehouseman responsible for receiving, storing, loading and moving building materials in the warehouse and onto trucks; operate forklift; read orders and documents to determine items; count and perform simple arithmetic; unload from railcars and trucks; identify products from written documents; maintain clean, orderly warehouse; build good relations with customers.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely handle a forklift
- Ability to read customer order, shipping order, purchase order, and/or bill of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Must be able to count and perform simple arithmetic
- Must be able to physically move material either by forklift or by hand to unload incoming materials from railcars, trucks; and, to load outgoing deliveries
- Must be able to identify products and accurately handle items specified on written company documents
- Must be able to keep warehouse clean and orderly
- Need to maintain good business relations with customers who come to the warehouse to pick up material
