Job Summary
Warehouseman responsible for receiving, storing, loading, and moving building materials in the warehouse and for loading trucks. Drive CDL trucks for deliveries as needed. Responsibilities include reading orders and bills of lading, performing basic arithmetic, identifying products, maintaining a clean warehouse, and ensuring good customer relations. Requires forklift operation, ability to lift heavy loads, and at least three years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience; outdoor work and compliance with DOT medical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- CDL required
- Minimum of three years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Must be able to read customer orders, shipping orders, purchase orders, and/or bill of lading
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Must be able to physically move material by forklift or by hand
- Must be able to identify products and handle items on written documents
- Must maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness
- Previous truck driving experience in related fields preferred
- Ability to handle physical workload including heavy lifting and securing loads
- Must be able to ascend/descend in tractor-trailer cab and flatbed trailer
- Flat-bed and tarping experience
- Must have basic math and reading skills
- Must pass DOT-required Medical Examination (Medical Card)
- Employment and Driving records must be satisfactory (MVR)
