Job Summary
Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders from inventory while loading and unloading trucks and shipments. Receive product, put inventory away accurately, and handle pipe, fittings, and other warehouse materials. Operate a forklift or other equipment safely to keep the yard and warehouse organized, clean, and safe. Assist customers in the yard as needed and complete required paperwork and system transactions. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including rain, heat, and cold. Support team members where needed to maintain branch operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1+ year of related experience in warehouse, yard, shipping/receiving, construction, industrial, distribution, logistics, or a similar hands-on environment
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 55 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, and move throughout the day
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort handling larger or awkward materials safely
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude
- A high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience; certification is an asset
- Previous experience in warehouse, yard, construction, trades, industrial, landscaping, logistics, or similar environments is an asset
