Job Summary
Conduct receiving, unpacking, arranging, and storing goods while gathering, packing, preparing, and loading items for dispatch. Check stock for damage and wear, report faults and discrepancies to relevant parties, and mark and label inventory. Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment by loading and unloading delivery vehicles, accepting inventory, and counting and confirming stock levels. Inspect inventory for damage and faults, store items in an accessible manner, and load stock on pallets. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift Certification
- Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a warehouse
- Ability to operate forklift proficiently
- Completion of background investigation and drug screening
- Strong people skills
- Good moral character
- Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions
- Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
- Available to work extended hours
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must have a TX driver license
- Physically capable of lifting and/or moving objects up to 75 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift Certification preferred; not required
