Job Summary
Prepare merchandise for customers by promptly filling and packaging orders for will call or shipping. Receive and prioritize orders through supervisor-issued work tags, retrieving items from inventory using manual methods and/or forklifts. Verify the accuracy and timeliness of filled orders before delivery or pick-up, completing bills of lading for materials being delivered. Maintain organized files for customer pick-up orders and assist with counter sales by entering orders into the system. Foster a positive work atmosphere by cooperating and communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent education
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills
- Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes
- Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external interactions with customers and manufacturers
- Basic math skills, including counting and performing computations up to four digits
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including keyboarding
- Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and oral communication
- Strong problem-solving abilities, considering all factors and recommending appropriate solutions
- Adherence to workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
