Job Summary
Operate company equipment to transport and pick up building materials products at designated warehouse locations, including loading delivery trucks and unloading vendor trucks. Read work orders and invoices to determine product needs for customer pick-up or delivery, then frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds. Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and management while maintaining a professional demeanor during in-person and phone interactions. Clean warehouse areas by organizing materials, sweeping floors, and emptying trash cans. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to lift and carry building materials product by hand weighing up to 100 pounds
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Strong basic math skills which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Desired Qualifications
- A valid driver's license
- Knowledge of building materials product
- Forklift and/or Moffett experience
