Job Summary
Operate company equipment to transport and pick up building materials products at designated warehouse locations, including loading delivery trucks and unloading vendor trucks. Read work orders and invoices to determine product needs for customer pick-up or delivery, frequently lifting and carrying items weighing up to 100 pounds by hand. Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and management while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Clean warehouse areas by organizing materials, sweeping floors, and emptying trash cans. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to lift and carry building materials product by hand weighing up to 100 pounds
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Strong basic math skills which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of building materials product
- Forklift and/or Moffett experience
