Job Summary
Conduct manual picking of customer orders using RF handheld scanners, accurately label products, and build orders while preparing pallets for shipping. Safely operate forklifts and pump trucks, performing pre-shift equipment checks and maintaining awareness of safety hazards. Participate in scheduled inventory cycle counts and consistently maintain a clean, safe work environment. Ensure timely and accurate assembly and shipment of customer orders while adhering to all company and provincial safety and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, and other general warehouse duties
- Extremely strong communication abilities in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a broader warehouse team
- Strong initiative and high levels of personal responsibility
- Willingness and ability to frequently lift loads of up to 50 lbs
- Willingness and ability to occasionally push, pull, or move loads of up to 100 lbs
- Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and processes, with strict adherence to all company and provincial safety standards
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada to be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts or other similar material handling equipment (valid certification NOT required)
- Experience working in environments with a plethora of product SKUs, requiring strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Previous experience with WHMIS and TDG
