Job Summary
Operate industrial forklifts and powered lifts to receive, store, and distribute products in the Cold Storage facility. Read production schedules and work orders to move materials between receiving, production, and storage areas. Sort perishable goods by size, type, or product code, stack case goods on pallets, and wrap partial loads with stretch wrap. Mark materials with identifying information, record received or distributed items, count distribution tickets, and inspect trailers for cleanliness. Load and unload trailers and railcars according to specifications while maintaining accurate inventory records. Actively participate in safety programs, report incidents, and coordinate material handling with team members.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to use arms and/or legs together while sitting and standing
- Ability to react quickly to change the controls of an industrial truck by moving hand and/or foot
- Ability to frequently lift up/or move to 30 pounds
- occasionally lift/or move 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of twisting torso while sitting/ driving on a powered lift forwards and in reverse
- Ability to tolerate driving over rough terrain on an intermediate basis
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures
- Ability to operate work related equipment
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to tolerate strobe and other intense lighting such as bright white/blue lights, red RFID scanner light on handhelds
- Ability to climb on and off an industrial truck
- manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to learn and operate RFID handheld scanner for use on a constant basis to receive/ship product, check inventory levels, and other tasks as assigned
