Job Summary
Operate a baler machine to secure, package, and bind large volumes of clothing while loading and unloading trucks for heavy lifting. Receive, sort, price, and prepare donated items for store display or distribution, determining suitability based on established standards. Assist in maintaining warehouse neatness, set up and break down storage areas, and act as a truck helper to navigate routes and ensure donation security. Recycle cardboard, store shoes, and monitor entrances to deter theft while following Salvation Army policies. Maintain good donor relationships and interface with the public in various settings. Full-time schedule requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and two years of warehouse experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license
- Two years experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
