Job Summary
Sort materials, operate a baler, and perform quality painting to maintain high standards for pallets and other materials. Sweep debris around warehouse and dock areas to ensure a clean work environment while inspecting items during sorting to meet established rates. Process items by vendor and comply with all safety, Propak, and PLA policies and procedures. Complete other duties as assigned to support overall team operations. This role requires stamina to stand, bend, and lift materials for 8 to 10 hours in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and moderate noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift
- Capable of repeatedly lifting and moving materials, which may be heavy
- Requires good manual dexterity for sorting and processing items at an established rate
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment
- Excellent vision for inspecting materials and observing surroundings for safety
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Previous experience in manual labor or warehouse environments preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas, including forklift operation and facility maintenance
