Job Summary
Oversee the safe loading of liquid chemicals into drums using a highly automated system by operating a scanner and forklift to maneuver drums onto pallets and trucks. Inspect drums for condition, verify paperwork accuracy, generate precise labels, and input shipping information into the database. Monitor the loading process to ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintain open communication with supervisors, and keep the work area clean by promptly cleaning up spillages. Follow all plant safety rules, wear required PPE, and lift objects up to 75 pounds. Work full-time Monday through Friday in an 8-hour shift with flexible hours to meet shipping schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the US
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Successful completion of drug screen, physical and background check
- Demonstrated stable work history with positive references from previous employers, indicating reliability and competence
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, writing, reading, and auditory comprehension
- Successfully pass a required medical examination to ensure fitness for the job
- Demonstrate the ability to safely operate industrial equipment as necessary for job duties
- Capable of operating a computer for data input purposes
- Wear all the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Lift, carry, grip, hold, and/or pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Walk distances ranging from one to six miles per shift
- Climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and step two feet horizontally and vertically while maintaining normal arm range of motion during standing and squatting activities
