Job Summary
Conduct receiving of parts, lift and move items up to 75 pounds unassisted, and operate equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers. Stoop, bend, and reach into 48-inch deep locations to stock truck parts while maintaining quality standards. Maintain housekeeping requirements and participate in the Continuous Improvement program by submitting ideas for process enhancements. Work flexible afternoon shifts from 4:30pm to 3am Monday through Thursday at a Daimler Truck North America facility in Canton, OH.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move parts up to 75 pounds in weight unassisted
- Ability to pull/push and slide parts up to 100 lbs unassisted
- Ability to stoop, bend, twist and reach into 48" deep locations
- Ability to safely operate and / or work in the vicinity of many types of equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, pick trucks, propane powered lifts, battery changing equipment, electric carousels, conveyor lines, heavy duty pneumatic staple guns, compactors, dock levelers, etc.
- Ability to operate stand-up reach lifts, rated at 4,000 lbs lifting capacity
- Ability to operate man-up order picker to a height of 22ft rated at 3,000 lbs lifting capacity
- Ability to communicate effectively with others within and outside the work group
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Participation in Continuous Improvement program (TOS)
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
