Job Summary
Receive USDA commodity foods, unload trailers using pallet jacks and forklifts, and manually count all inventory. Stack and palletize food, inspect items for quality, and maintain damaged product counts on daily forms. Pre-weight and bag fresh produce before distribution, assist with issuing participant orders in the SYGNAL system, and help load and deliver food orders to participants. Handle incoming calls and messages while treating participants respectfully and maintaining confidentiality. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and forklift experience preferred. Omaha Tribe of Nebraska.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Physical activities include bending, stooping, reaching, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Basic reading, math, typing and computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook, Windows
- Ability to follow all safety rules
- Communication skills (must be able to understand all written and verbal work orders and instructions)
- Organizational skills (must be able to keep track of inventory and keep work area clean)
- Reliability and dependability (must work all hours and arrive on time)
- Work history should demonstrate safety, efficiency, flexibility, and willingness to learn
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-5 years of office related experience
- Previous forklift experience or training certification
