Job Summary
Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer returns while stocking and maintaining the warehouse. Pick, document, and pack customer orders, load and unload trucks, and safely operate warehouse forklifts and other material handling equipment. Handle shipping discrepancies, identify nonstock or damaged material, and complete necessary documentation for third-party carrier shipments. Inform supervisors of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or safety issues, and ensure security controls protect Profit Center assets. Maintain cleanliness, remove debris, and perform all job functions in accordance with company safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems
- Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Will have strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
- Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center
- Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations
- Strongly prefer if you have a minimum of two (2) years experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, order picking, and material handling
