Job Summary
Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer returns while stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory. Pick, document, and pack customer orders, load and unload trucks, and safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment. Identify nonstock, special-order, or damaged materials, manage shipping discrepancies, and complete documentation for third-party carrier shipments. Inform supervisors of stock depletions, safety issues, or defective merchandise, ensuring security controls and warehouse cleanliness are upheld. Perform all job functions in accordance with safety standards and complete required training programs.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
- Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center
- Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
- Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
