Job Summary
Conduct warehouse receiving, verify shipments, and stock inventory while operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely. Load and unload delivery trucks, secure hazardous materials placards when required, and unload merchandise at customer job sites. Review shipping documents, obtain delivery signatures, collect cash payments, and resolve shipping discrepancies with receiving parties. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, remove debris, and ensure all safety standards and compliance training are followed. Inform supervisors of stock depletions, damaged goods, or mechanical issues.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to drive a vehicle over 26,001 lbs.
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for the vehicle(s) being driven, with hazmat endorsement if operating a vehicle that requires placarding for hazardous materials.
- Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
- Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function.
- 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
- Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
- Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
- Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
