Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end night shift operation at the Bristol, Portbury depot, ensuring stock moves quickly and accurately with minimal delays. Lead a small team by motivating staff, coaching them on safety standards, and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability. Develop daily shift plans, allocate tasks, and monitor stock levels using the Warehouse Management System to catch discrepancies early. Tackle operational issues proactively, maintain high standards of housekeeping, and collaborate with other team leaders for smooth cross-shift handovers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven ability to engage and motivate teams
- Excellent planning and organisational ability
- Confidence in managing time-sensitive tasks and shifting priorities
- WMS experience
- Comfortable using systems to monitor and manage inventory
- Resilience under pressure
- Calm, solutions-focused, and quick-thinking when challenges arise
- Sunday to Thursday 22:00 - 06:00 shift pattern
- Bristol, Portbury depot location
