Job Summary
Conduct routine microbiological analyses, including bacterial testing and pathogen culture, while maintaining precise records and entering data into the LIMS. Manage sample logistics by receiving, labeling, and shipping consignments in accordance with DOT regulations, verifying chain of custody, and preparing bottle kits for client collection. Perform daily equipment maintenance, monitor environmental controls, and organize laboratory spaces to ensure operational safety and efficiency. May perform courier duties, maintain company vehicles, and work on-call during non-business hours for non-routine sampling and deliveries. Full-time Monday through Friday with varying hours; reports to the Kansas City, Mo site.
Required Qualifications
- Department of Transportation (DOT) Certificate may be required for shipping hazardous chemicals within 90 days of date of hire
- Additional client or location licenses or certifications may be required in order to support client and operational needs
- May drive for long periods
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must have a valid US driver's license without recent incident
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Biological degree with minimum of 4 credit hours of Microbiology
- Computers, word processing software and database software
- Experience with Microbiological Laboratory and testing procedures
- General mathematics
- Basic composition, spelling, grammar, punctuation
- Strong work ethic, organize work and pay attention to detail
- Computers and basic office equipment

- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

- Position is full-time Monday - Friday, hours will vary
- Position will report to our Kansas City, Mo site
