Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor responsible for coaching, teaching, training, facilitating and removing barriers to enable work teams to perform at optimal levels. Plans and directs activities in shipping, receiving, and the stock room; provides vision, coaching and development opportunities for team personnel. Applies world class techniques to pursue continuous improvement for process, quality, customer service and environment, while meeting quality requirements at lowest cost and in a timely manner. Responsibilities include pre arranging schedules, assigning work, establishing metrics for on-time delivery and accuracy, managing inventory cycle-count teams, cross-training, coaching and development, setting performance expectations, and taking corrective action. Uses quality management techniques for problem solving and decision making; researches, justifies, procures and implements new technology; collaborates with Demand Planning and Fulfillment to set annual goals; helps develop production-management policies; collaborates across departments to enforce solid business practices; manages department budgets and works with Production supervision to improve performance. Emphasizes safety and compliance with standard working conditions; travel is minimal. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of manufacturing experience in shipping/receiving and stock room, plus SAP/ERP experience, CPIM, 5S, and knowledge of logistics/export compliance. Location: Auburn, Illinois (US); standard full-time schedule 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday with occasional longer hours and weekend work.
