Job Summary
Supervise and lead a warehouse team to support efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods through effective workload organisation and prioritisation. Demonstrate good working knowledge of Health & Safety by leading by example, promoting best practice, and identifying areas for improvement. Own local delivery, quality, and cost measures with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets, while proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to increase operational efficiency. Adhere to customs and trade compliance legislation regarding the movement of goods, including Export Controls and Dangerous Goods legislation. Deputise for the Warehouse Section Manager where required and provide support to other site warehouses if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy operational environment focused on achieving targets and identifying/actioning areas for improvement
- Good working knowledge of warehouse operations and related systems
- Good knowledge of Compliance aspects that impact warehouse operations, eg: Export Controls, Dangerous Goods legislation & Plastic Packaging Tax
- Good communication skills, written & verbal
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy operational environment whilst maintaining a positive 'can do' attitude
- As a Supervisor they will be able to organise and prioritise workload effectively, meeting customer expectations
