Job Summary
Oversee the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the ZECO distribution warehouse, ensuring deliveries and shipments are handled accurately per company specifications. Manage day-to-day activities of shipping clerks and transfer drivers, coordinate scheduling to optimize loads, and work with the Shipping Coordinator to stage and load LTL and TL shipments. Train personnel, appraise performance, resolve problems, and address staffing needs while ensuring proper storage and temperature control for all materials. This role requires unrestricted US work authorization, 21+ years of age, and 3+ years of supervisory experience. Located at 2915 Nicholson Ave, Kansas City, MO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field
- 3+ years' supervisory experience
- Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the US
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective in collaborating with other internal departments to achieve goals
- Ability to represent our company in a positive manner to our customers and associates
- Project a professional appearance
- Wear mandatory PPE at all times
