Job Summary
Establish warehouse operational procedures for verifying shipments, handling materials, and maintaining current inventory. Implement federal and state safety requirements while conducting training for personnel and coordinating with Customs and freight forwarders on import/export issues. Inspect equipment, prepare repair work orders, and correct problems through collaboration with department supervisors on production, sales, and purchasing activities. Screen hires, coordinate training, and compile reports on inventory distribution. Recommend and implement a budget, review purchase orders, and organize storage areas adhering to 5S standards. Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications. This role supports Plansee's Franklin, USA site in transforming semi-finished tungsten and molybdenum products into complex components.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field and/or equivalent combination of directly related experience and education
- Minimum five years' experience of warehouse/distribution supervision in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively build and maintain a staff necessary to achieve a successful operation
- Possess fundamental skills: time management, project management, communication (written/verbal) and ability to read and understand technical publications and instructions
- Experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with import/export compliance
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MRP experience, preferably SAP
