Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

Plan, direct, and administer all warehouse operations including requisitioning, receiving, storing, stocking, and distributing materials. Assign work, screen and hire personnel, conduct performance evaluations, and supervise a team of up to 12 people for annual inventory counts. Establish operational procedures for shipments, maintain current inventory data, and implement safety policies and budget recommendations. Coordinate with management on production, sales, and purchasing activities; schedule pickups, deliveries, and salvage of damaged materials. Inspect physical conditions and equipment, prepare work orders for repairs, and compile reports on inventory distribution. Confers with stakeholders to ensure activity coordination and promotes a culture of safety and respect.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 yrs or older
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory control methods and procedures and all applicable federal and state rules and regulations, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act; ability to practically apply such knowledge
  • Knowledge of general company and warehouse policies and procedures, and the ability practically to apply such knowledge
  • Understanding of stock and inventories generally warehoused in the facility as well as computer driven inventory systems
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, Allergens and Personal Protective Equipment
  • Ability to read and write, and speak English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Perform repetitive tasks
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs
  • Push/pull up to 2200 lbs of raw materials on a pallet with a pallet jack
  • Move barrels of up to 600 lbs of ingredients from pallets to conveyors with appropriate equipment
  • Reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weight up to 50 lbs frequently within the range of the floor level to overhead
  • Ability to maintain respectful communication with coworkers at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to problem-solve equipment and processes in partnership with maintenance
  • Ability to determine root cause and diligently apply corrective action
