Job Summary
Lead end-to-end operations of the automated parcel sorting process, ensuring accurate scanning, induction, sorting, and dispatching of last-mile packages. Monitor line throughput, accuracy rates, and downtime while optimizing workflows for capacity, speed, and cost efficiency. Operate and supervise automated sorting machines, coordinating preventative maintenance and troubleshooting with vendors. Manage workforce staffing needs, oversee onboarding and training, and monitor labor KPIs including attendance and productivity. Enforce safety policies, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and SOPs. Produce operational reports, analyze data to identify bottlenecks, and present performance updates to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or last-mile logistics operations
- Hands-on experience with automated sorting machines (cross-belt, tilt-tray, loop sorter, etc.)
- Strong understanding of parcel logistics, last-mile delivery flow, and SLA requirements
- Proven ability to manage large operational teams, including staffing agency workers
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in WMS, scanning systems, Excel/Sheets, and operational dashboards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
