Warehouse Supervisor - OBG

The Operations Supervisor drives the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse’s Shipping Packaging, and Support materials. Primary responsibility is safety of all team members, on-time delivery to customers with zero customer non-conformances, and driving continual improvements while ensuring team members follow work standards. Works with the Distribution Center Manager to meet financial responsibilities and participate in strategic planning. Essential duties include ensuring employee safety, security of the facility, monitoring KPI to drive improvement, supporting development and execution of Work Instructions, facility maintenance, scheduling employee hours and payroll approvals, enforcing safety policies, coaching employees, coordinating daily operations to meet shipments with zero complaints, collaborating with other managers to meet customer expectations, supporting lean TPS principles, developing and implementing warehouse improvement projects, maintaining KPI data and action plans for substandard performance with HR, and completing corrective actions for customer non-conformances. Supervisory responsibilities cover all Warehouse, Packaging, Shipping and Support Materials staff. Qualifications emphasize experience in Distribution/Warehousing and Logistics, project management and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and WMS (Oracle a plus), and strong communication and organizational abilities. Education options include a Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years distribution experience or an Associates Degree with commensurate experience. The role is in a shop floor/distribution center environment with potential exposure to health or safety hazards, requires lifting and use of PPE, and involves about 5% travel by automobile/plane.
