Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

Coordinate daily warehouse operations by planning inbound and outbound trailer activities, ensuring efficient dock utilization and timely shipment flow. Lead the team in receiving raw materials and packaging, inspecting goods for quality and damage, and releasing finished products while maintaining strict safety and food safety standards. Schedule personnel effectively to meet production support requirements, manage inventory accuracy, and oversee forklift fleet maintenance. Enforce safety policies, document discrepancies, and approve time records while coaching staff on performance and growth.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Demonstrated aptitude for identifying process issues and implementing practical solutions under minimal supervision
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing shift workflows, and adapting to shifting production demands
  • Competent in basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 55 pounds
  • Must possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work additional hours
  • Ability to tailor schedule appropriately
  • Must be able to interpret and convey safety procedures, technical documents, and operational instructions effectively
  • Experience in resolving conflicts, facilitating team performance, and maintaining high morale and accountability
  • Ability to work with weights, measures, and calculators
  • Comfortable working with basic computer systems, production interfaces, and inventory tracking tools
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to handle exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilation
  • Must be able to handle exposure to inclement weather
  • Must be willing to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems
  • SAGE experience
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols
  • Basic food production principles
  • Reliable, hands-on, and adaptable with a team-oriented attitude
  • Demonstrates initiative and accountability in high-pressure environments
