Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and issuing of job-related material by verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Manage warehouse and yard personnel, including leads, clerks, and helpers, while coordinating closely with Purchasing, Project Managers, and field Superintendents to ensure timely delivery to active jobs. Supervise employees engaged in counting, weighing, and identifying material, inspect forklifts and equipment for defects, and enforce safety requirements including proper PPE use. Maintain inventory and receiving records, complete weekly time approvals, and address employee-relations matters such as complaints and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and manage labor utilization to prevent excess hours and downtime.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2–4 years' experience in warehouse, materials, or shipping/receiving operations, including a leadership or lead role
  • Valid driver's license
  • ability to safely operate a forklift (forklift certification required or the ability to become certified)
  • Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, physical, audiogram, and vision test
  • Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States
  • MICA Corporation will not sponsor or transfer visas for US work authorization
  • Good leadership skills; able to direct a team and work in a team environment
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced construction-support environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Knowledge of general company inventory and purchasing system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office {Excel, Word, and Outlook} including editing documents, sending and receiving emails, and participating in virtual meetings
  • Proficiency in MS Excel including the ability to operate spreadsheets
  • Personal protective equipment is required at all times (i.e., steel-toe shoes, hard hat, high-visibility apparel, and eye protection)
  • Local travel between the warehouse, yard, and job sites may be required
  • In an eight (8) hour work day, this position is expected to sit approximately up to 3–4 hours, stand up to 6 hours, and walk up to 6 hours
  • Lifting and carrying is generally up to 50 pounds
  • Employees must attend mandatory education programs
  • The safety training component will be an annual requirement for all employees to participate, review, and pass the required safety exams

  • Experience with an inventory, purchasing, or ERP/accounting system preferred
