Job Summary
Manage warehouse operations by overseeing receiving and loading schedules to satisfy delivery needs while minimizing distribution costs. Direct staff through interviews, training, and performance reviews, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and safety protocols. Drive efficiencies by implementing policies, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with peers to improve department metrics against key goals. Coach colleagues on operational techniques and resolve issues at an operational and tactical level to support quality assurance ratings. Work in various warehouse locations requiring physical labor, with a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience within the warehouse distribution industry
- Possesses a strong understanding of FDA and OSHA compliance requirements, company policies and all national and state regulations and the ability to enforce them
- Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships and communicate with executive leadership, staff, customers, and vendors
- Prior experience forecasting and managing operating budgets as well as communicating variance
- Evidence of strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to make sound business-based decisions
- Previous experience with developing and adhering to department metrics
- Evidence of ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple concurrent priorities
- Trained on maintaining a non-union environment
- Must be able to work in a variety of locations throughout the warehouse
- Must be able to work various hours in cooler and freezer with temperatures ranging from 35 degrees to minus 10 degrees
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (holidays, weekends, and various shifts) as well as overtime, as needed
- Must be able to handle continuous standing, lifting, bending, and moving of heavy materials weighing up to 60 pounds
