Job Summary
Plan warehouse layouts and storage areas based on item turnover, size, and weight. Advise employees on equipment handling, preservation methods, and safety regulations while maintaining harmony among workers. Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedites workflow by assigning duties and examining work for conformance to policies. Resolve issues and generate suggestions for improving quality and operations. Requires forklift certification and ability to lift 50 pounds regularly. Schedule includes Wednesday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to four years relevant, job-related experience, education or combination thereof
- Forklift Certified
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch
- Must be able to frequently climb or balance
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds with hand truck/pallet jack
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand
- Must be able to stand or walk 75% of the time
- Must be able to advise employees on care and preservation of items
- Must be able to determine work procedures and prepare work schedules
- Must be able to maintain harmony among workers
- Must be able to enforce safety regulations
- Must be able to pass an E-Verify Check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment substance abuse testing
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two to three years supervisory experience
